Quite obvious now that the alarm sounded by Geoffrey Hinton, through his statement of discord in the media centring AI framework recently, has a ripple effect across the world and he has unhinged a deluge.
In the past 15 days alone, we find an abundance of negative reviews about AI technology and we find this in a quantity that is larger than at any time in the past.
Dear reader, what makes this scenario murkier and scarier is the fact that such comments come from industry heavyweights.
For instance, in “The Atlantic” an article got a space with the title “AI Is About To Make Social Media (Much) More Toxic: We Must Prepare Now”, the observers are Jonathan Haidt and Eric Schmidt.
A fascinating range of people take turns to vent their perception of the potential perils lurking in the dark AI industry, but then the change in tone of criticism also grows rough.
Take the article penned by Haidt and Schmidt, they indicate the growing possibility of misuse of AI technology by those with interest bent on one side of the spectrum rather than the otherwise.
Such is a no-nonsense concern.
New Yorker Article Trembles Our Soul:
Going several steps further is the article in The New Yorker with the title, Will AI Become New McKinsey?”

Certainly, it gives cushion to numerous thorny questions. For example, is this the tool which the super-rich exploit to make huge amounts of profits, but at the work done hard by others?
Will it simply help in the accumulation of more wealth among the very minute number of people?
Can the AI fraternity use this technology to uproot the inequities of our world and will it be useful in improving the condition of commoners?

No Clarification From The Flag-bearers of AI Framework:
Amid all such criticism and inquiries about the common man’s betterment, no person of prominence in the AI field has been able to unlock satisfactory answers.
No tech heavyweight has mustered the courage to guide us through and no credible response to such a deluge of queries and dear reader, this is what I find too much troubling.
In other words, such a silence, sustained for so long, does not bode well for AI prosperity across the world and no pun intended.
In our endeavour of covering tech news updates in India, we shall continue to unravel more.
The deal is simple to dole out that AI technology helps us to create fake images of notable people, such as Pope Francis’s image circulated on the web where he is seen wearing a puffer jacket.
But still, what virtues will a common will unlock from this technology?
By and large, it seems that AI is a game for tech-savvy minds. Also, we end up creating deep fakes and widening the elbow room for falsehood which would foster disharmony.
Clearly, more harm than good. Meanwhile, I also find it pretty strange that the generation aspect of AI is accumulating news headlines everywhere.
In my opinion, the whole of the AI industry ought to reflect specific use cases that are pivotal to a real change in society for the people as well as for social sophistication too.
TB Treatment Gets Swift With AI: Tech News Updates in India To Foster Scientific Temperament:
TB is a dreaded disease that pulled 1.5 million lives in 2020 alone.
When we think of effective treatment, prevention and early diagnosis become vital. Chest X-rays have proved to be cost-effective ways here as they help in keeping ailments in check.
But the downside is that we lack skilled radiologists to decipher the black and white sketches clearly, on time and to initiate a proficient line of treatment.
Tech news updates in India for a more globalized world.
To this effect, numerous AI companies have designed tech items to read chest X-rays with overwhelming accuracy than exhibited by radiologists (no pun intended).
Qure Ai is the radiant example here. This use case is not meant to make radiologists (redundant) but to help them deliver service at multiple places where they are due.
We cover the prime tech news updates in India which matter to people.

Verily, we have use cases which add to the quality of life even for the commoners.
In India too, we find AI techniques being implemented strategically under DPI (Digital Public Infrastructure) where there is a dramatic cross-play of technologies like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI utilities and Image analytics and the range rages on and on.
Under DPI, we have schemes which are introduced to target fields like agriculture, banking and finance, healthcare, academics, business and retail etc.
Problematic Molecular Structure Of Proteins: Tech News Updates in India:
For a long time, those in the field of Biology, fought with the idea of protein build-up issues and about its constructive functions in the human body and also about its opposite when we fall sick.
As a matter of factly, protein comes with a complex structure which is whimsical too and can undergo severe change in a matter of nanoseconds.
No doubt, this is the aspect that augments the challenge manifolds. Tech news updates in India that you can refer to.
Last year, luckily, a company with a big name in the AI industry, Deep Mind, developed a program Alphe Fold which can detect the 3-D structures of every protein known and researched on earth, the strength runs to 200 million.
Such a feat is hailed as the biggest stone being overturned in the struggle and we see more milestones to be reached in the road ahead.
Final Word: Tech news updates in India:
Well, dear reader, we have the generative form of AI by which we can generate deep-fakes and then, this is also used to write essays for some lazy students but we should not allow these things to become defining characteristics of AI.
This tech framework has been on receiving end of so much criticism and to overshadow this, we ought to produce constructive and positive use cases as I have highlighted above and which would transform our lives for good reasons.
Then, this is also an astonishing aspect that dozens of case studies and research have been carried out and the industry around the world, needs to reflect on this at Tech & Environment, we would continue to capture such events as they happen.
