For instance, Indo Space is said to have leased more than seven lakh square feet to RenewSys India Pvt Limited, which manufactures solar photovoltaic modules in Khalapur, near Mumbai.
The lease term is 10 years, and the monthly rent is fixed at 1.43 crore.

The lease agreement has culminated through three different deals, as the records highlight.
Initially, the space of 1.32 lakh square feet was leased for a rent of 27.14 INR per month.
The following space went for a whopping 45.90 INR, measuring 2.23 lakh square feet while the monthly rent for the third property was set at 3.45 lakh square feet which fetched a sum of 70.73 lakh.

As per the industry buzz, Mahindra Logistics Limited leased 4.75 square feet of spare for the purpose of warehousing in Khed, neighbouring Pune in January this year.
The exact location is Emerald Industrial Park. The party agreed to pay 73 crore in the form of rent, over the coming 5 years.
- Malpani Group Takes 77,800 Square Feet from Tata Autocomp Katcon in Chakan, in the Vicinity of Pune:
This was on March 03, 2025, that Malpani Group announced its lease agreement for a decade against a sum of 40 crore INR with Tata Autocomp Katcon Exhaust Systems Pvt Limited.
The total space is 77,800 square feet situated in Malpani Industrial and Logistics Park in the Industrial centre of Chakan, near Pune.
This is said to be Malpani’s second agreement with Tata for 10 years.
- HUL Gives a 5.93 million square feet warehouse On Lease in Bhiwandi, Touching Mumbai
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), it is confirmed, has given 5.93 square feet of warehouse space on lease in Bhiwandi, adjoining Mumbai.
The rent has been agreed upon as 1.54 crore INR as per the news shared in the media loop with property documents.

Media is abuzz that in October 2024, Hindustan Unilever inked a 7-year lease agreement which also has a clause of 5% rental increase annually.
- Alta Capital, Touching Pune and Andhra Pradesh Get 2.5 million square feet of warehouse space from IndoSpace:
Moneycontrol shared this news story that IndoSpace traded 2.5 million square feet of constructed space with Alta Capital for a big sum of 800 crore INR.
This space is said to be pre-leased, though. This location is Khalapur adjoining Mumbai.
For the player, Alta Capital, such is said to be the second “core” deal in the sector of logistics and warehousing.
Alta Capital is said to be the operating partner of Singaporean Asset management agency Hilhouse Investments in India.
Media sources say that Indospace closed the deals for properties in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh and also in the city of Pune, in Maharashtra.
Leasing industrial logistics and warehouse space: A Synopsis
There is a real estate advisory group, Savills India, that harbours great hopes for India’s industrial and logistics sector and maintains that the sector registered tremendous growth in Q1 (quarter 1) of 2025 as the space of 16.0 million square feet was acquired which is an increase of 18.50% year-over-year in 2024 where it was only 13.50 million square feet.
Absorption Happens in Tier 1 Cities:
A closer look at the absorption shows that 79% takes place in Tier I cities while 21 % share is claimed by Tier II and Tier III cities.
